Housing Discrimination - Fair Housing
The Fair Housing Act secures individuals from discrimination when they are renting or purchasing a home, getting a mortgage, looking for housing support, or engaging in other housing-related activities.

Fair Housing Information

The Act prohibits discrimination in housing since of:

What Is Prohibited?
In the Sale and Rental of Housing:
It is unlawful discrimination to take any of the following actions since of race, color, religious beliefs, sex, special needs, familial status, or nationwide origin:
- Refuse to rent or offer housing.

- Discourage the purchase or rental of a home.
- Assign an individual to a specific structure or community or area of a structure or neighborhood.

Harassment:
